York Region signed on with Bullfrog Power in April 2008 to supply clean electricity for York Region Administrative Centre in the Town of Newmarket and the York Region Household Hazardous Waste Depot in the Town of East Gwillimbury. York Region has also demonstrated its commitment to the environment by developing comprehensive strategies aimed at preserving and protecting green space and the natural heritage of the region.
